چکیده
How might a volcanic material imaginary — particularly of the basalt scoria field that underlies Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland in Aotearoa New Zealand provide ways for people to see themselves collectively? Our surroundings shape sense identity, and spatial interactions organize our experience city. ’Scoria Field’ is design research inquiry into place-making; investigating potential experiences landscape produce public space along coast Takapuna, on Tāmaki’s North Shore. Through imaginative engagement with rock, this explores abstract tangible unfold narrative matter. practice drawing artisanal explorations, engages geographical, cultural, social aspects Makaurau. The project culminates proposal refurbish an existing car park as offers new way each other collectively by engaging their terrain.

We characterise imaginaries (up to interdefinability) in Hilbert spaces using a Galois theory for compact unitary groups.
متن کاملImaginaries in Boolean algebras
Given an infinite Boolean algebra B, we find a natural class of ∅-definable equivalence relations EB such that every imaginary element from B is interdefinable with an element from a sort determined by some equivalence relation from EB . It follows that B together with the family of sorts determined by EB admits elimination of imaginaries in a suitable multisorted language. The paper generalize...

Ž . Long-term erosional modifications of the relatively simple morphology of scoria ‘cinder’ cones are ideally suited for study by field and computer-simulation methods. A series of temporally-distinct cones in the San Francisco and Springerville volcanic fields of Arizona provides the foundation for documenting the degradational evolution of scoria cones in a semi-arid climate. Progressive cha...
متن کاملPetrogenesis of alkalic and calcalkalic volcanic rocks of Mormon Mountain Volcanic Field, Arizona
The Cenozoic Mormon Mountain Volcanic Field (MMVF) of northern Arizona is situated in the transition zone between the Basin and Range and the Colorado Plateau. It is composed of alkalic to sub-alkalic basalts and calcalkalic andesites, dacites, and rhyodacites. Despite their spatial and temporal association, the basalts and the calcalkalic suite do not seem to be co-genetic. The petrogenesis of...
